On an evening in late April of 2007, a tragic event unfolded on Early Oaks Lane in Capitol Heights, Maryland, forever altering the lives of several families. Michael Lamont Stewart, a Black/African American male, was shot and killed on April 29, 2007. An autopsy would later reveal that he had sustained five gunshot wounds, with evidence suggesting that some of the shots were fired at close range.
