Alfred Bent, a 53-year-old resident of Brooklyn, NY, tragically lost his life on May 28, 2022. Bent was attending a Memorial Day weekend party in Bedford-Stuyvesant, honoring a recently deceased friend. As he left the gathering, he was shot in the head on Decatur Street near Malcolm X Boulevard. The fatal shot was barely audible over the loud music, and it was initially mistaken for a firecracker.
