In the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans, on the evening of February 15, 2017, the life of 33-year-old Ernest Francois was tragically cut short. An African-American male, Francois was the victim of a fatal shooting that unfolded in the 3400 block of Franklin Avenue. The New Orleans Police Department responded to a call about the shooting at approximately 5:54 p.m.
