In the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans, a young man's life was tragically cut short on a Wednesday afternoon. Kareem Dowell, a 25-year-old male, was found on December 21, 2016, in the 2700 block of St. Andrew Street, the victim of fatal gunfire. His body was discovered lying next to a wheelchair, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services were called, but Dowell was pronounced dead at the scene, his life ending on the city pavement.
