A Black/African American man, Gregory Hunter, 32, was killed in a shooting on the evening of Wednesday, November 2, 2016, in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 4700 block of Prentiss Avenue.
Responding to a call about a shooting, New Orleans police officers discovered Hunter inside a vehicle at the scene. He had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Emergency medical services were dispatched, and Hunter was transported to a local hospital
