Father of 9 found shot to death In the quiet afternoon of Wednesday, February 25, 2015, a tragedy unfolded that would forever alter the lives of a New Orleans family. Mario A. Breedlove Sr., a 39-year-old African-American man, was discovered deceased inside a residence in the 8000 block of West Laverne Street in the eastern part of the city. He had been shot multiple times, with one of the wounds being to his head. At the time of his death, Breedlove was a husband and a father to nine children.
