Luis Alberto Castillo Salgado, aged 40, tragically lost his life on December 30, 2022, in Fresno, California. He was found with a gunshot wound to his upper body near the intersection of Turner and Jackson Avenues. Despite receiving immediate medical attention and being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The incident occurred in the evening, and the Fresno Police Department responded to multiple calls reporting the shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found Castillo lying on the roadway, critically injured.

On March 8, 2023, 31-year-old Raymond Guido was arrested and charged with Castillo's murder. Guido, who was on parole after being released from prison in August 2022, was initially arrested for a parole violation on March 2, 2023.
