On May 31, 2022, Esteban Ocampo, a 29-year-old resident of Salinas, California, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred around 2:55 PM at the intersection of North Sanborn Road and Del Monte Avenue. Upon arrival, Salinas Police Officers found Ocampo suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The investigation revealed that Ocampo was shot following a brief confrontation with the suspect, who then fled the scene on foot.
