Jose Quirin, a 79-year-old resident of San Diego, California, tragically lost his life on May 3, 2022, during an attempted carjacking. On that fateful morning, Quirin was sitting in his parked vehicle outside his workplace in Bay Ho when he was confronted by Francisco Xavier Villegas. Villegas, who was 21 years old at the time, attempted to forcefully take Quirin's car. When Quirin resisted, Villegas pulled out a gun and shot him at close range.
