On November 28, 2021, a tragic incident occurred in Lancaster, California, resulting in the death of 11-year-old Namyiah David. Namyiah was one of five victims in a horrific shooting at their family home on Garnet Lane. The other victims included her siblings, Germarcus David Jr. (7), Kayden David (2), Noah David (1), and their grandmother, Erika England (51). The family was found by Namyiah's mother, who returned home to discover the devastating scene.
The victims had all suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
The investigation quickly identified Germarcus Lamar David, the father of the children, as the primary suspect. Germarcus David, who had previously worked as a security guard, was found to have committed the murders. Despite his background, his permit to carry a firearm had expired at the time of the incident.
