Josue Edgar Joel Amador, a 25-year-old resident of San Diego, California, tragically lost his life on June 29, 2021, in a gang-related shooting. The incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. in the Linda Vista neighborhood, specifically in the 6900 block of Eastman Street. According to reports, Amador was with three companions when they were approached by two males who issued a gang challenge.
The confrontation quickly escalated as the suspects produced a handgun and fired several rounds, striking Amador in the upper body. Despite the efforts of officers and San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel, Amador was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:36 p.m.
The investigation into Amador's death revealed that the suspects fled the scene in opposite directions in a dark four-door sedan. The San Diego Police Department's Homicide Unit took charge of the case, working diligently to gather evidence and locate witnesses. On October 19, 2021, two suspects, Axel Medina, 21, and Cynthia Webb, 20, were arrested and charged with Amador's murder. Noriega and Calderon were apprehended during a traffic stop in Escondido on October 20, 2021. Both were booked into jail on charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and gang-related allegations.
