On March 1, 2024, at approximately 8:50 PM, a tragic incident unfolded in the Grantville neighborhood of San Diego. Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 4500 block of Alvarado Canyon Road, where they discovered two men with gunshot wounds inside the stairwell of an apartment complex. The victims were identified as 31-year-old Joseph Taylor, a San Diego resident who did not live at the complex, and 24-year-old Lavion Anquan Estridge, believed to be a security guard employed there.
