In the an early morning hour of Thursday, January 31, 2013, 55-year-old Cardell Brown, a Black male, was found deceased inside his residence in the 800 block of Jackson Avenue in New Orleans, near the edge of the St. Thomas neighborhood. An investigation by the Orleans Parish Coroner's office later confirmed his identity.
