Francisco Franquez, a 50-year-old resident of Fresno, California, tragically lost his life on October 24, 2020, following a long-standing feud with his neighbor, Rodrigo Quezada. The incident occurred at the Trails End Mobile Home Park in northeast Fresno, where both men resided. On the morning of the incident, a confrontation between Franquez and Quezada escalated, resulting in Quezada shooting Franquez multiple times in the upper body.
Despite efforts by emergency responders, Franquez succumbed to his injuries at Community Regional Medical Center.
The relationship between Franquez and Quezada had been tumultuous for years, with numerous disturbance calls made to the police regarding their disputes. On the day of the shooting, the altercation reached a fatal conclusion when Quezada, armed with a firearm, confronted Franquez. Following the shooting, Quezada surrendered to the police and was taken into custody.
