In the summer of 2012, the life of Lyndell Patterson, a 27-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short in New Orleans, Louisiana. On July 31, 2012, Patterson was shot and killed, leaving a void in the lives of his family and friends. Known affectionately as "Lenny P," he was a native and resident of the city, a place that had shaped his entire life.
