On December 29, 2019, Darryl Toliver, a 54-year-old resident of San Diego, was fatally shot in the Mount Hope neighborhood. The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. in an alley off Raven Street. Multiple 911 calls reported the shooting, prompting a swift response from the San Diego Police Department. Upon arrival, officers found Toliver suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his torso.
