Gilbert Trevino, a 55-year-old resident of Beaumont, California, tragically lost his life on January 10, 2018, in a shooting incident on the Morongo Indian Reservation near Banning, CA. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. when deputies responded to reports of gunfire at the intersection of Ramon and Chino roads. Upon arrival, they discovered three men who had been shot.
Trevino was pronounced dead at the scene, while one of the other victims was critically injured and the third sustained minor injuries.
The suspect, Adrien Sotomayor, a 31-year-old man with a prior conviction for voluntary manslaughter, was arrested the following day.
