Cristian Gomez, a 31-year-old Latino, was tragically shot and killed on April 5, 2017, in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, the incident occurred around 11:20 a.m. while Gomez was walking east on the sidewalk along the 2200 block of Whittier Boulevard.
