Reginald Atkinson, a 26-year-old resident of Richmond, California, was tragically killed on April 28, 2016. The incident occurred near a Valero gas station at the intersection of Cutting Boulevard and South 37th Street. Richmond Police Department's ShotSpotter technology detected 16 rounds of gunfire in the area, leading officers to the scene where they found Atkinson lying on the ground, having been shot multiple times.
