Francisco Solorio, a 37-year-old resident of Salinas, California, was tragically shot on the evening of February 11, 2015. The incident occurred in a parking lot at 1022 Del Monte Avenue, just before 8 p.m. Solorio succumbed to his injuries early the next day at Natividad Medical Center. The shooting was determined to be gang-related, as witnesses reported that Solorio identified himself as a member of the Sureno gang when questioned by his assailants.
