On a violent Thursday night in Baltimore, a city already scarred by a record number of homicides, 19-year-old Malik Michael Perry lost his life. The male youth was one of seven people shot in a series of incidents that unfolded across the city on October 5, 2017, pushing the city's murder count for the year to 274.
Shortly after 9 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Pitcher Street, where they discovered two 19-year-old men suffering from gunshot wounds.
