In the late summer of 2017, a burst of violence on a street in Southeast Baltimore cut short the life of Carlos Jones, a 27-year-old Black man. On the evening of August 28th, Jones was on South Highland Avenue at Mount Pleasant Avenue when he was shot. The incident left him with critical injuries, and he was rushed to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital for medical attention.
