Eric Mario Desarden, a 28-year-old man from Willowbrook, California, was tragically shot and killed on April 5, 2014. The incident occurred in the 2100 block of East 122nd Street, where Desarden and a woman were standing in front of a home. According to the Los Angeles County coroner’s records, two men on foot approached and opened fire on them. Desarden and the woman were both hit by the gunfire.
They were quickly transported to a hospital, but unfortunately, Desarden was pronounced dead at 11:02 p.m. The woman, however, was treated for her injuries and subsequently released.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department launched an investigation into the shooting. Lt. Steve Jauch of the Sheriff’s Department reported that the two suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting. Despite efforts to gather information, the investigation faced challenges as there were limited leads and no immediate arrests were made. The authorities urged anyone with information to come forward, offering anonymity through Crime Stoppers to encourage witnesses to share what they knew.
