In the spring of 2017, the life of a 23-year-old Black / African American man named Darrien Singleton was tragically cut short in Baltimore, Maryland. On the morning of April 30th, he was discovered on the 2400 block of East Preston Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Singleton succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His death was officially ruled a homicide by the police.
