In the winter of 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening calm on the 1800 block of West Saratoga Street in Baltimore, Maryland. When the sounds of the shots faded, a 28-year-old African-American man, Davon Williams, was left with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders arrived at the scene on February 8, 2017, but it was too late to save him. Williams succumbed to his injuries right there on the street.
