In the autumn of 2016, the life of Dkai Juwan Valandingham, a 17-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. On the night of Saturday, October 22, in the 3400 block of Juneway, Valandingham was shot. He was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.
