In the summer of 2016, the life of David Lamont Hill, a 45-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short on the streets of West Baltimore. On the evening of August 4th, in the Upton neighborhood, specifically on the 1600 block of McCulloh Street, Hill was shot multiple times. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find him suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries right there on the street.
