Joseph Surace, a 28-year-old man from Pompano Beach, Florida, tragically lost his life on August 11, 2020. The incident occurred near a Burger King and 7-Eleven on North Federal Highway. Surace, who was homeless at the time, was shot during an altercation. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Broward Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
