Jonathan Morris, a 25-year-old male from Gainesville, FL, was tragically killed on September 29, 2019, during a home invasion robbery. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at a residence on Southwest 75th Drive, also known as Tower Road. Deputies responded to a call from a concerned neighbor who reported suspicious activity. Upon arrival, they found the front door of the home wide open and a car in the driveway with its alarm blaring.
Inside the residence, they discovered Jonathan Morris deceased and another victim, 22-year-old Dallas Andrew Gianos, critically injured. Both victims were transported to UF Health Shands Hospital, where Morris was pronounced dead.
