In the early morning hours of September 1, 2015, Keith Gale, a 29-year-old Black man, was shot in Baltimore, Maryland.
At approximately 1:19 a.m., police and medics responded to the 500 block of North Fremont Avenue. They found Mr. Gale at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment but died shortly after his arrival.
Baltimore police immediately began investigating the homicide.
In the days following the shooting, authorities announced that they had not identified any suspects in the case and were actively seeking witnesses who might have information about the crime.
