In the summer of 2015, a wave of violence gripped the city of Baltimore, and among the lives tragically cut short was that of 37-year-old Charles Diggs. On Saturday, July 25, 2015, Diggs was shot in the 1800 block of Saratoga Street. The incident was part of a particularly violent month in Baltimore, which saw a significant spike in homicides.
