Sidney Theodora, a 20-year-old resident of Fort Myers, Florida, tragically lost her life on September 29, 2017. The incident occurred at a Travelodge motel located on South Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers. Sidney was fatally shot, and the case quickly drew significant attention from local law enforcement agencies. The Fort Myers Police Department, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, launched an intensive

The investigation led to the arrest of Trayviouse Jermain Taylor, who was 17 years old at the time of the incident. Taylor was accused of shooting Sidney Theodora at the Travelodge motel. Following the shooting, Taylor turned himself in to the authorities the next day. Due to the severity of the crime, the State Attorney’s Office decided to charge Taylor as an adult. He faced charges of manslaughter, and his case proceeded through the legal system.
During the trial, Taylor entered a guilty plea to the manslaughter charges. As a result, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
