In the winter of 2015, a young life was abruptly cut short on the streets of Baltimore. Kevin Mason, a 29-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the night of February 21st. The discovery was made in the 3800 block of Ridgewood Avenue, where Mason was found inside a vehicle, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. His death was one of many violent incidents in a city that was grappling with a high rate of gun violence that year.
