Taijuan Jones, a 21-year-old Black man, was still in his own neighborhood when the violence found him. Just before 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2014, Baltimore police were called to the 400 block of Edgewood Street in west Baltimore for a reported shooting. When officers arrived, they found Jones at the scene with a gunshot wound to the head, gravely injured but alive.
