On October 10, 2015, a tragic incident occurred in Lake City, Florida, resulting in the death of Tina Vu. The events unfolded early in the morning when Khoa Trong Vu, Tina's husband, returned home and got into a heated argument with her. The confrontation escalated quickly, leading Khoa to grab a handgun and fatally shoot Tina. The violence did not end there; Khoa also shot their 14-year-old son, Khoi Vu, who succumbed to his injuries.
Additionally, their 17-year-old daughter, Whit, was critically injured after being shot four times. The family's youngest son, Khiem, managed to tackle his father and restrain him until the police arrived.
Following the incident, Khoa Trong Vu was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of his wife and son, and one count of attempted first-degree murder for the attack on his daughter. During his first court appearance, Khoa appeared emotionless as the judge read him his rights. He was denied bond and remained in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
