Christopher Lynd "Tater" Smith, a 47-year-old deputy sheriff with the Leon County Sheriff's Office in Tallahassee, Florida, tragically lost his life on November 22, 2014. Deputy Smith was responding to a report of a house fire on Caracus Court when he was ambushed and fatally shot.
