K.D. Smith Jr., aged 66, tragically lost his life on July 21, 2014, in Vero Beach, Florida. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Smith was visiting a woman at her home. As he stepped out of his car, he was fatally shot in front of the residence on 6th Road SW. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, Smith succumbed to his injuries, having suffered at least one gunshot wound.
