Marc Douglas McCain, a 48-year-old resident of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on September 15, 2023. He was a dedicated and beloved pediatrician who had a profound impact on his community.

Born in 1974, Marc grew up in Vero Beach and attended Vero Beach High School, where he was honored as "Mr. VBHS." He pursued his higher education at the University of Florida, graduating in 1996, and then attended the University of South Florida Medical School, from which he graduated in 2000. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of South Florida in 2003. Marc's dream of becoming a pediatrician was realized when he took over Treasure Coast Pediatrics, a goal he had set for himself since he was 8 years old.

Marc was deeply committed to his family. He met his wife, Jeanette, in the fifth grade at Rosewood Elementary School, and they began playing tennis together at the age of 15, which blossomed into a lifelong love. They married on December 30, 1994, and their relationship endured for 33 years. Marc and Jeanette had three daughters: Emily, Madelene, and Mollie. He took immense pride in being a "girl dad" and was deeply involved in his children's lives.

Marc is predeceased by his mother, Sharon, and his stepmother, Gerri. He is survived by his father, Doug; his wife, Jeanette; his daughters, Emily, Madelene, and Mollie; and his brothers, Matthew and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements for his private service were handled by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach, Florida. Marc will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his community, and his profession as a pediatrician.
