On a Wednesday evening in April 2014, a promising young Black man's life was cut tragically short in Baltimore, Maryland. Michael Mayfield, a 17-year-old male, was discovered inside a vehicle in the 2300 block of Lyndhurst Avenue, having been shot in the head.
