Jacob Rivera, a 16-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on July 12, 2013, in Hollywood, Florida. Jacob was found shot on the sidewalk at 900 N. 66th Avenue around 5:15 p.m. He was immediately taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he was declared brain-dead and subsequently passed away a few days later. The incident has left his family and the community in deep sorrow, as they remember Jacob for his charisma, sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.
