In the winter of 2022, a life was tragically cut short in Macon, Georgia. On the evening of Saturday, December 10th, authorities were called to a residence on Gordon Street following reports of a shooting. Inside the home, they discovered 29-year-old Demonta Steve Clyde, a male, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The event marked another grim statistic for the city, becoming its 67th homicide of the year.
