In the late hours of November 10, 2022, the life of 17-year-old Jayne Salazar Chavez was tragically cut short in a hail of bullets outside her home in Decatur, Georgia. A junior at Towers High School, Jayne was not only the recently crowned homecoming queen but also the respected group commander of her Air Force JROTC program.
