In the summer of 2022, the life of 15-year-old Romello Heard was tragically cut short. On the evening of Tuesday, July 26, police were called to the Woods at Peppertree apartment complex in the 3300 block of Peppertree Circle in DeKalb County, a little after 6:30 p.m. There, they found Romello, a male, who had been fatally shot. The incident was investigated by homicide detectives who determined that the shooting occurred during a robbery.
