In the summer of 2022, the life of 19-year-old Quakari Bryant Johnathan Freeman, an African American male, was tragically cut short in Decatur, Georgia. On the evening of July 1st, DeKalb County Police responded to a call at the Avondale Townhomes on Holcombe Road. There, they discovered Freeman's body in the parking lot, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back. Near his body, investigators found two 9mm shell casings, evidence of the violence that had just occurred.
