Percy Luther Johnson, a 31-year-old African American male from Fredericksburg, Virginia, was tragically shot and killed on June 19, 2022, while visiting family in Augusta, Georgia. The incident occurred on the 700 block of Broad Street in downtown Augusta, just before 3 a.m. Johnson was pronounced dead at Augusta University Medical Center at 2:43 a.m. after being shot at least once.
