Amari Conwell, a 23-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on the evening of February 3, 2022, in Columbus, Georgia. A promising young man, Amari was a 2017 graduate of Columbus High School and was in his third year at Columbus State University. He was also actively involved in his community, serving as the Assistant Director of the Summer Youth Program at the Urban League of Columbus. His life was abruptly cut short by an act of gun violence on Sweetwater Drive.
