In the spring of 2021, the disappearance of a young Savannah man sparked an investigation that would lead to multiple arrests and a years-long legal process. Twenty-three-year-old Charles Vinson was reported missing on April 27, 2021. The search for Vinson ended in tragedy five days later when his body was discovered in the 2900 block of Julia Law Street. The discovery of his remains shifted the focus of the investigation from a missing person case to a homicide.
