On the night of Halloween in 2020, a sense of tragedy befell the Morris Heights Apartments on Morris Street in Statesboro, Georgia. It was there, at approximately 11:23 p.m. on October 31st, that 37-year-old Malcolm Jerome Steele, an African American male, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
