In the summer of 2020, a sense of loss befell a community in Atlanta, Georgia, with the tragic death of 19-year-old De’yshun 'Dey Dey' Clark, a young African American man. On the night of July 24th, De'yshun was fatally shot on Sunset Avenue NW in what has been described as a chaotic and violent scene outside a house party. This incident also resulted in the death of another young man, 18-year-old Raezion Boyd, and left two other teenagers with non-life-threatening injuries.
