Dorian Dewayne Gibson, a 50-year-old Black man from Columbus, Georgia, was killed on January 17, 2020, in a burst of violence at Warren Williams Homes in midtown Columbus. Reports say the shooting happened in the parking lot of the housing complex after trouble flared around a fight involving women there that evening.
